death lens for dvx100b

yeah look into the 16x9 or the century FEWA fisheye. Both are cheaper then that one, but still hella wide and good quality. Plus both have NOOOOO vig which is a good thing

Another vote for the 16x9. I've got the 0.45 EX something or other and I'm pretty happy with it.

Lens Is sick, I am using the .7 wide made by the same company and it't great, its hard to shoot with out it. I have also used this exact lens on a sony and it works great. Great picture quality.

now my only question is how much vig are we talking on 72mm. adapter only slightly on the corners or a whole circle?

If its past the corners then i will definately look deep into that 16x9 thank you all very much get back to me tho

This is what the vignetting is like, but obviously its different on tv overscan

16x9 fisheye is ok, but the Mk2 definitely blows it out of the water. Vignetting isn't horrible, definitely much wider then the 16x9, well worth the money.

The dvx and mk2 is just as wide as the vx1000 with a bayonet mk1. The dvx mk2 combo has a lot more vignetting though. I always zoom in to about z06 to get rid of some vignetting without getting blurry vig. Century doesn't make a 72mm(screw) fisheye by the way. Only a 37mm(baby death) and a 58mm(mk1 and a mk2). The rest are bayonets. A 43mm screw is in the works though.

It's a tool not a trend. I understand what you're saying though. Sometimes long lens just doesn't work for filming skateboarding/sports.
