DEADKIDZ is BAD NEWS!!!!!!

I liked it and I like that they/you/whoever did the music, mixed it up with 'People are Strange'! Of course it reminds me of a Beastie-Hill-Cypress-Boys groove, but that's not a bad comparison! I liked most of the shots, the only ones that stood out way video for me were the living room shots, maybe some CC or different lighting, but hey, that was pretty cool!

That was ****in' great. Looked low budget but in all the best ways and I don't mean that as a negative thing at all.

I love vids that have this feel and you did a good job.

Super fun. Good cuts. Nice job.

A tad repeditive in the middle but all round awesome.

Great work.

Please post some details of the shoot. Gear, lenth, budget etc. You know, nerd facts.

really liked it. Enjoyed the variety of shots usually absent from music videos. Kept you wondering what they might do next. The faces on the first women you see as they walk through the bazaar-type place was priceless.

Hey, thanks a lot. The idea for the video happened before the song. We wanted to make a song that was really outrageous and then perform it in public. We wanted a street lo-fi feel, so its great to hear that it came off that way (instead of complaining that it didn't feel "film like" etc) We plan on doing a lot more with bad news so ill post when we have more.

As for the "nerd stuff" dvx-100, 24pa, 4x3 matted for widescreen (except for the black and white stuff, we needed it wider and weighed the camera down for the steadi cam) Andreis and Rich wrote the song. A friend out in LA made the beat and I produced the track at a studio in PA. The only thing that sorta cost anything was the logo animation in the beginning. A company i used to work for did it for us in exchange for building their new reel.

thanks again for checking it out and commenting

Jesse,

You are so talented, I hope this work takes you somewhere. I loved the editing and the "what's going to happen next" feeling....very cool.

Field Theory remains one of my all time favorite shorts. I just watched it again (for about the 5th time) and it still holds up again and again. The acting is first class and you demonstrate a deep understanding of story and filmmaking. Did you ever do anything with that film?

Anyway, I always look forward to seeing what you are doing.

D.

I agree with Dis on Field Theory. something about that film just keeps inspiring me. You got it right with it somehow. it holds up very well.
this one was hilarious. good job filming in public!

they have great energy on camera and your video was great. I was hoping there would be a little more CC as i went on, looks like it could use some ( mall, outside, etc )

the video would compliment the music better with that little change.

Great sample (interesting use of the Doors), good flows, unique voices and contrast between the two emcees. High pitched/low pitched. Good confidence and energy and funny ideas. Ya'll working on an album? I'd check for it. Keep it up.
