Dead Bird!

The cat left a little surprise for me, so I figured I'd have to share it with the world.

And it may be gross, but (I shot this in 24p mode) it sure did look like film when I put it on tv.

lol, god dude!

thats disgusting, but, and i know this sounds pretentious, also kinda beautiful at the same time, nice grabs :-X

Re: Dead Bird!

Trent Reznor from Nine Inch Nails called, he wants his dead bird footage back ;D

They do look great though, if anyone needs me, I'll be in therapy :P.

Re: Dead Bird!

Good stills, considering what's in them.

I would rather my cat turn up dead things. All he does is yack on our carpet. :P

Re: Dead Bird!

very nice. did you use a 1/4 black promist on those? they have a nice subtle diffused look to them... great exposures.

Re: Dead Bird!

Very good eye...no promist filter but I added a little black diffusion in magic bullet. (I wish I had some more pleasant screen grabs to try it with, though.)

Re: Dead Bird!

Great grabs.

My cat is always bringing home it's prey, everything from dead birds to eviscerated bunnies.

It never occured to me to film, but there really is something beautiful about those shots.

disjecta,

I hadn't thought of that at all, but that's very true and pretty funny. I guess I was just in a sick mood that day. Btw, I thought the Water's Edge was very well shot, especially the smooth camera motion, shallow DOF, and the lack of blown out highlights.
