DCIM DCI3 color profile

Wow, amazing pics, Ed! Really filmic! What was your grading workflow?

DCIM rules out ACES, though, doesn't it?

The frames look truly great Ed.

The F35 is quite flexible and if you want and know you way around the menus it's very customizable. Although what I like best about the camera is that you can get great results by just hitting "run" in basically any mode. I normally just shoot Cine mode all the time and treat it like 35mm film. But the Custom mode is very powerful and even the Hypergammas have their use in this increasingly more prominent Log and raw world.

Ed, have you compared DCDM and the F900 color spaces with the F35? Pg 136 of the manual says that F900 is in between the latitude of film and DCDM, a bit closer to film in its approximation. I haven't tested the differences, though. Your shots look excellent! Love the stuff with the flag and light up cross.

thanks I think to my eyes the DCDM profile has the best skin tones out of the box - I'm not really a guy into manuals :)

I really like the F900 color space personally! They all have a slightly different vibe! Who knows the technical mumbo jumbo ;) but all of them look quite good

These look amazing! Are these ungraded straight out of the cam or do they have a LUT on them?

I'd do a quick test myself, but my F35 is out for a few days!

they have a LUT on them - i modified a film convert fujifilm lut - mostly lowered saturation and just played to get skin tones where I like them - this is a vibrant look overall - to show how things still can be positive in the midst of sadness
