A short based on the highly popular video game mod, DayZ.
Filmed on a Canon T2i with stock lenses and a 50 f1.8 lens.
Sound: Azden-SGM1X, onboard mic and Zoom H4N
Filmed over two months due to conflicting schedules and edited in about a month. It was a big learning curve to be familiar with the equipment and force ourselves to get this video done (or else we'd never finish it because we all go to different colleges).
I also learned halfway during filming that the T2i doesn't work with the Azden SGM-1X by itself or XLR to 1.8 adapter so most of my audio with that was scrapped (hence being forced to use the onboard). Afterwards I switched to the Zoom H4N with the Azden and it worked great.
There are some overexposed, blurry shots and other mistakes but we're pretty happy with one of our first serious endeavors.
