David Fincher's Zodiac

Another real life serial killer flic? You couldn't get me within 100 feet of a theater playing this. I don't care who's directing it, I hate this crap. Maybe someone will make one of Karla Holmaka too, or whatever the heck her name is(sarcasim). Barf.
If it was total fiction like Friday the 13'th or Hannibalish I'd be in. Otherwise no.
But, to each is own.

well you'll be missing out

Yes, I think your right by the sounds of it . Oh well.
I've seen Alien 3 & Seven. Not interested in Fight club or Zodiac.
Is 'The Game' and 'Panic Room' worth renting?

....not interested in fight club come on dude.

Serioulsly. I spent alot of years playing keyboards in bars and have seen/been in, my fill of bar/street fights. Maybe I'm getton old. (Maybe?ha) My nephews are martial arts guys and I like to watch them in competition. I also watch boxing on the weekends when it's on TV. I'm sure it's a good movie, just aint gonna do it for me though. Guys punching the crap out of each other? I just need to go downtown to see that for real.:) Unless there is a really good other reason to watch it. Maybe I'm over-simplifying it... I've been wrong before.:)

Edit: Ok I'll tell ya what. I'll rent all 3 if I can. I'll trust you on this one.

I felt the same way about seeing The Fight Club, before I saw it, but found out it wasn't anything like what I expected it to be.

And make sure that you don't get sucked into an Ulli Lommel movie (Zodiac Killer) thinking it's going to have any more that the namesake in common with the movie. He's currently doing a serial killer series of LOW BUDGET movies: Zodiak Killer, B.T.K. Killer and Green River Killer (featuring Kimko, much to his embarrassment). How this guy is able to fund his movies is beyond me.

It looks like Fincher is going to have an interesting movie.

Fight Club is not about fighting at all. That is just the vehicle they use. Rent it and you will not be disapointed.

C'mon guys. If you've really seen Fight Club like you say you have....you should know that we're not even supposed to be talking about it.

Well, I'm glad to see that the modern generation of filmmakers is at least open-minded. :thumbdown

WOW people havent seen fight club?

GO READ THE NOVEL FIRST, while I love the movie, the novel is much better. Chuck Palahniuk is a great author. he is somebody who doesn't get enough credit.

READ THE BOOK FIRST!!! THEN SEE THE MOVIE!!! THEN READ HIS OTHER NOVELS!!!

Well I was off duty but came back just for this. Read the rest of my posts.
We're all cool. :)

Edit: But I'm still not watching Zodiac. Mind wide open. :)

Trust me, you wouldn't want to see the newest Hannibal flick over this and I haven't even seen this yet. Hannibal Rising was the worst film I have seen in a theatre in the past year and that includes going to see The Break Up.

At least check out the Fight Club novel, it has to be good if Spidey and I are in agreement!

just saw it. its not my favorite fincher movie but who gives a ****, it was really kickass and kept me tense and a bit uncomfortable its entire runtime. really well-crafted. not my favorite and id still give it a 9/10.

its definitely different from his other work, very subtle goodness going on - he's broadened out here. the viper looks awesome in fincher's very capable hands, i completely forgot until halfway through that he wasnt shooting film. loved that car tracking shot!

very happy hes already started working on his next film (benjamin button which was an interesting short story) and i dont have to wait another 5 years or so...

highly recommended, but then again im a HUGE fan.

to comment on some of the talk ive seen here, i dont understand how modern day filmmakers couldnt and wouldnt want to check out all his stuff just for the lighting, camerawork, etc. you gotta see fincher's movies if youre making movies today!
