David Carradine - RIP

Wow
I worked with him for two years (The Legend Continues), and at the time he was a complete mess. Too many stories to tell. But since that show ended he really turned his life around. He cleaned up, started to do some good work. This is really sad.

their now saying its from hanging.

my friends worked with him and well they said that he would show up drunk and depressed to set... that sucks. I feel bad for his family.

May he RIP...

May he RIP...

[The first meeting between the young Caine and Master Po contains the following:]

Caine: Of all things, to live in darkness must be the worst.
Master Po: Fear is the only darkness.
Never assume that because a man has no eyes, he cannot see.
Close your eyes. What do you hear?
Caine: I hear the water. I hear the birds.
Master Po: Do you hear your own heartbeat?
Caine: No.
Master Po: Do you hear the grasshopper which at your feet?

[Caine opens his eyes and looks down at his feet to see a grasshopper there. ]

Caine: Old Man, how is it that you hear these things?
Master Po: Young Man, how is it that you do not?

I used to see him every year at NAMM, he had his heart in music. Very personable and friendly guy. Damn, I'm going to miss him.

Very sad news. RIP.

I did not know the man, and I'm not a conspiracy guy, but there were a few things in the report that raised some red flags and I'm glad the authorities will be investigating further.

Well, the family is now saying it was accidental, leading some to speculate it was due to auto-erotic asphyxiation. If that's the truth, what a dumb way to go.

Actually, I was thinking it was possibly foul play.

I've read a lot of similar stories over the past six years and have seen a scary pattern. Just hope there's an independent investigator brought in from the US.

That's what you get for f*%cking with Haskell Wexler.
(I'll let you interpret David's sobriety/grasp on reality that night of his last known public appearance)

In all seriousness, it's always sad when someone passes despite the circumstance. He certainly made a footprint in cinema, and I remember watching Kung Fu the Legend Continues everyday afterschool. I still want to be Kermit, with that green car, mullet and silenced pistol.

Wow! What a shocker. When I heard about it, I thought it was a bad joke...but no.

R.I.P.

Wow...I'm listening to the mp3 of this. I love how he casually mentions Tarantino "is a big cocaine freak too!". Craziness...David doesn't sound drunk to me or anything, just a little dickish.

RIP

This cat could drink with the best of them..ah...best of us.
I tied one on with him about 10 years ago when he was doing a shoot here in Orlando.
And no, he didn't order grasshoppers at the bar.
He will be missed.

PK, is this something that happens in Thailand often?

TMZ just released that he was found with his hands tied behind his back.

Yes.

A majority of Thai people (including police) believe that if a body is found without clothes on then that person was doing something bad (sex or drugs) so authorities quickly rule it an over-dose, alcohol poisoning, or a suicide and the real story never gets investigated. Because of this, people know that if you want to kill a foreigner in Thailand just take his clothes off and the police won't investigate.

Also, it's much better for their economy (based on tourism) if foreign deaths are ruled "accidental" or a "suicide". Which is why the police are lazy to investigate or they will make a murder scene appear to be a "suicide".

It is because of these two things that countless foreigners have been robbed and murdered in this country and almost every one of them are found without clothes on, subsequently ruled a suicide, and their attackers go free.

One man was found dead, without clothes on, here in Nong Khai (ruled an over-dose). Another one recently fell naked from his apartment (ruled a suicide). The most suspicious is when two foreigners were found naked, one on top of the other, and the police said they both died of alcohol poisoning. Really? Both men? At the same time?

The fact is, if Mr. Carradine was not a celebrity then his death would have been ruled a suicide and not investigated further. Now the police need to really do their job and hopefully the truth will come out. No matter how he died, he deserves the truth.
