here is the vimeo synopsis

Artist and inventor, David Beard (Isaiah Varisano), fears living an ordinary life. So, naturally, he makes a deal with the devil. Made for a low level production course at Temple University.

There is a problem with the internal logic of your story.

A cure for cancer would not lead to the extinction of mankind. Even if there were wild over-population as a result of less people dying, the species as a whole wouldn't starve to death. Some may die, even many, but not all. Nature has a way of balancing out. And what about the animals? animals would still roam the earth as they rely on natural food sources of which there would be an excess of seeing as mankind is not around to destroy the planet's natural resources

Also, wishing for eternal youth without the immediate knowledge that you would live to see all of your loved ones perish, seems a little shortsighted on the part of the main character who is supposed to be a scientist/artist, therefore an intelligent and thoughtful human being.

And if he could cure cancer, couldn't he develop something relatively simple like synthetic food for mankind?

Just a few things to think about.

haha... I'm well aware of how completely ridiculous the story is... however it was never my intention to make something that had much of a basis in reality... but thanks a lot for checking it out

I like the premise. It's the ultimate fantasy to have one wish. I guess I'm being a little over sensitive these days because I'm struggling with the internal logic on my own screenplay. So those thought are on my mind.

Nice work , though

thanks... though next time I will probably try to make something that makes a little more sense in the real world

haha, I enjoyed it, but watching it for some reason I kept thinking of one of my old Film instructors Heidi Mau there is just something about it. i enjoyed it,

hmm... this heidi mau must've been one cool cat... haha.. i'm glad you enjoyed it... Someone told me that they thought I cut away too quickly from a lot of images throughout it... I was wondering if anyone here felt the same way?
