Date/Time Display

Trying to record the date/time display to mini dv tape. When I set the date time display to, "on," the time stamp will play back if I play the tape back in the camera. But if I play it in any other deck or camera it is not on the tape.

I've been shooting some Depositions, and I have to have the time stamp burned on to the mini dv tape, the only way I've been able to do it with the dvx is by recording to a deck.

Is there something I'm missing in the menu? Thanks!
 
I am having the same problem, except it will display the date time stamp in other cameras when the display date and time mode is enabled on that camera.
