Date of Recording on Quicktime Files?

Say I shot a scene on Friday (which my MFX files would indicate) and I transferred said footage into Final Cut Pro 5.1 on Sunday (thus converting them to Quicktime).

Now imagine if I tossed the MFX files (for storage reasons) and I only have the QTs on my hard drive.

The Quicktime files show the creation of the transfer date (Sunday) but do they still retain the information of the recording date? i.e. Friday?

Apple have totally lost the plot when it comes to metadata in FCP... anything converted to Quicktime will have had it metadata permanantly deleted

My advice get something like Raylight... there's no need/reason to convert to quicktime anyway!
