Darkness inside - supernatural thriller

This night we start shooting (probably) a feature lenght, super low budget thriller-horror. It's a story about ghost and ghost hunters; i don't know too much details right now. Yesterday night we did some test, we need a lot of light because the house where we will shoot has no power inside.
We shoot with my Canon XL2 and with handheld consumer for infrared and similar things. I don't post names 'cause i'm pretty sure they are unknow to you.

The banner has made by me, but is just a test, not even the name is official.

Well the first two night of shooting are gone... it's strange 'cause the director made only a simple storyboard and no script. He wanted the actors that improvise the lines, and to me did'nt sound a good point.
What i don't like is that he shot most of the scenes himself, saying that he wanted his style. Well, his style is like everyone handheld style, only with a lot of random zoom in and out. It seem to me that he called me because he needed my XL2 and not because he needed me as a camera operator...
Anyway the first night we start shooting around midnight and ended over 4.30 a.m.

I am under the impression that he did'nt plan almost anything; in fact the dp give us just a pair of light; and in the end for a night exterior we used a pair of my china balls; that really saved us since otherwise was very dark.

Let's see how it continue.

I'll post some shots from the previous weekend of shooting:

The house exterior... nice; i will probably use for something other...

The director shooting with my XL2... i'm so jealus of my camera...

Light is rapidly decreasing...

Reviewing some scenes

Reharsing the Pizza Delivery Boy scenes. Probably the quickiest seaking extra in movie history

My china balls... that really saved us on a couple of scenes... without them there will be simply too dark to shot something usable...
