Darker image after Log and Transfer

I have a question about Log and transfer with the HMC150. I just purchased the camera, did a few tests, and brought the footage into FCP. The footage looks great in the log and transfer window, but after I convert it to ProRes it looks a bit darker. It looks about a stop and 1/2 darker than the AVCHD footage.

Is this normal? If not, what can I do to fix it besides altering it with filters?

Thank you for your help!

I guess it's the FCP gamma issue - FCP adjusts the gamma of the clips on capture so that they are displayed properly on Mac displays (which by default are calibrated with gamma = 1.8 instead of standard 2.2). This gamma adjustment is fully reversible (FCP adjusts the gamma on the fly for display purposes only - the clips are not affected) so it will automatically be 'undone' whenever you export the video. To be able to monitor properly you have to either calibrate your display to 1.8 gamma or readjust the gamma of the clips manually (but you might get into trouble on export).

I just adjust my monitor when I am at home, but at work we have a stand alone monitor that would check footage on.
