DARK SOULS - Official Thread

[Ozhair]

Okay, now that things are progressing with my no/low budget feature, I figured it was time to give it its own thread.

The second day of shooting was this past weekend. The diary entry is here:

This time there's also a couple of short behind the scenes vids linked to the diary entry. Nothing fancy, just a montage of BTS footage and music (library music. Sorry if it's a bit crappy)

The previous couple of Diary entries can be accessed here:

And the main page for the production is here:

Hey mate it's looking great. Looks like you're getting the lighting right, can't wait to see the movie!

[Kholi]

Hey nice stills. Can you post up larger ones? JVC's image is looking tasty with all the nice lighting.

I've just put a rough cut of one of the scenes from "Dark Souls" up on the website. We're now officially past the two-thirds mark with filming.

I've put up a couple more diary entries with stills and frame grabs from the last couple of weekends of filming. There's also a quick look at some digital make-up effects I'm experimenting with.

Finished principal photography on my low/no budget feature "Dark Souls". Although it's not actually a zombie movie, it does feature some zombi-esque characters, and I now have some pics of those characters up. First two show the make-up, third one shows me with the characters in a publicity still.

I've also been experimenting with "digital make-up" for the look of characters in the film who get possessed. Here's a test frame from that:

And for reference, here's what she looked like before the "make-up" was applied:

What a babe!

Cool make up, looked CGI kind of, but still really good.

Good job.

[Abinc]

Haha, I love the possessed look! So creepy.
