Dark monitor, Anyone else have this problem?

The monitor screen on my EX1 has suddenly went dark, it's not completely blank but damn near. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem and if so what was the problem? I suspect that the monitor has gone bad but I want to be sure I'm not missing anything before I spend money getting it checked out. I did try reseting the backlight and brightness to no avail. Thanks for any help you can give. The eye piece is fine.

Sounds like your back light has failed.

So I guess that means replacing the monitor. Any Ideas on the cost?

You sure the LCD Backlight is turned on? Sometimes the switch can get hit, I think its on top of the camera

I never did anything with this one, but on LCD screens in general you can have the bulb replaced, not the entire LCD. (Assuming you can see a picture on there, even if its a dark picture.)
