i love motivated decisions that can be considered daring, but after seeing screen shots.... oof. Can imagine most living rooms handling that. It is one thing when a movie intended for theatrical release is on the edge, but another when it is streaming to random homes at varying data rates. Seems a bridge too far for a weekly show. Might be less of an issue binging later.

Anyway, there is this, a petition for hbo to reshoot and rewrite ep3:

Ha, now that is ridiculous. I could imagine a petition to release a brighter graded version, although if I was the DP I’d middle finger at that one too.

Anyone ever see the mockumentary And God Spoke, a phony making of a Hollywood biblical epic done in the vein of This is Spinal Tap? Not nearly as funny and a bit inside baseball, but I did rather enjoy the bit where after spending millions to shoot some huge sequences in the desert they get to the screening room only to discover that the fancy cinematographer has photographed everything so darkly it's impossible to see.

BTW, I could see GOT just fine. A bit too dark to my taste, but I could see what was going on just fine.

Dude. I LOOKED for that cup when I watched it and never saw it. No one who isnt analyzing frame by frame would have ever noticed that.

Whos watching YOU in that pic? It looks like it might be Buffalo Bill. Are you by chance in a hole right now? How much of your skin is still attached to you? Has anyone narrated your life recently in a gender-neutral way that mentions lotion?

It should be pointed out that since Game of Thrones is essentially an alternate universe and not just our own in the past, it is entirely possible they had Starbucks in their universe at the time.

Night scene by a talented DP where the audience can see.

If you people are having a hard time seeing the Game of Thrones episode just watch it with your night vision goggles.

Read an article while I was eating lunch today, that says that they have since gone in and "removed" the cup from the streaming episodes(does that apply to the re-airs on the linear ch's, too?). So if you DVR'd the first-run episode Sunday night, you might have a collectors item. Lol. Maybe I'll get around to watching it tonight and see how easy/hard it is to spot.

I did read about that. No, we streamed it via Amazon on Monday. Still, I’d bet you anything I still wouldnt have caught it if not looking for it, possibly even IF looking for it, and that most wouldnt have either. As I understand it there those extreme fans and youtubers that comb episodes of shows like this frame by frame for clues and Easter eggs and that’s probably the sort that first caught it.
