Dark Heavens - a video haiku

Very nice Haiku and nice video, color grading and moodyness of the shots are real standouts.

Did you consider having the building upside down for "left world on its head"?
Since it's just a reflection in a puddle it could be from any vantage.

what lens did you use for those shots? those are some of the best wides i've seen on the gh1. and i presume 1080p. also what film mode?

Sorry didn't think anybody would want tech info on something as simple and short. It's 1080p, 25 fps with a old Canon FD 20mm f/2.8 that I used wide open. It's a little soft, like a built-in ProMist filter which looks good but don't match my other FDs, would like to find a newer one. Can't remember ISO and I always shoot in smooth mode with contrast set down. I should probably have used at least standard film mode and contrast 0 on this as I had to push up the contrast in After Effects and also crush the blacks slightly by matting out the lower 0-4% to black. Then to fully emulate old film stock I added grain with AE's Add Grain - below the black layer to avoid getting noise in it. Not sure how much of that is seen in the Vimeo encoding but it's there in the Quicktime file.

thanks for that info. as an editing note: i think each scene/line fades to black far too quickly. it's like a jump cut in how unpleasant it is to my eyes, very abrupt fades
