Dangerous Days - the first 3 Films, 1 Year movie

So what is the size of your crew (or expected)? Filming back to back (3 months for each) or simultaneously (a week shooting one following week shooting the other)? That has got to be a rough goal to set. I wish you godspeed.

Hope it works for you. I tried the 3 movie in one year thing, but kept getting picky about my shots, scenes, etc. So now I'm content with 3 movies in 30 to 36 months. :-)

Hello Talent,
There is another scam artist out there- Ryan Paige. Pls. tell your talent NOT to submit for his "project". This guy, too, is on a major ego trip-His project is not even going to happen. It is a shame that there are scan artists & liars out there like him. We all need to protect ourselves, and stay away from predators like this.
Regards.
What the hell is that about? It's a shame there's people out there who have too much time on their hands and use it for crap like that.

I've been following your idea since the other thread, and I like it. While it definitely seems like it'll be a challenge, I'm sure it'll just make things more rewarding once you accomplish your goals. Hopefully you'll also learn quite a bit along the way.

Sounds like alot of fun and I'll keep checking back, so keep us all updated.:)

OMG! Dude I just realized this was you. I'll be watching. Be sure to write a book when you're done. I'll be writing one after Divinity. LOL.

Well, I've already inadvertently and unknowingly made an enemy somehow. I put up a casting notice on the site where I normally put up casting notices, and after a couple of days, I got an email from one ryanhiller214@aol.com that was also CC'ed to the casting site. It said:

I'm not entirely sure what the scam would be if there were one (I made it clear in the casting notice that this is a project based almost entirely on an Internet argument and that the actual prospects for the movie are probably pretty dim, though I would do my best to do well).

You never put this in a post. People will feel it's a waste of time. Everyone knows most films don't go anywhere so tell them only that you're making a film and what you need and why they should do it. You attitude has to be upbeat and positive. You know something will happen with your film (even if that means self-distribution). Also you'll run into someone like ryanhiller214@aol.com who will simply not like you or your post for some reason. They usually turn out to be no one special. You should email him and ask him what's his beef, especially if you're paying anything.

This sounds like a huge challenge. I wish you the best of luck and will be interested in learning about your filmmaking adventure(s). Keep us posted here if you can.

And not to be a party pooper, but Dangerous Days was the working title for Blade Runner.

Now that you mention that, I remember that, but I didn't remember until you mentioned it.

Doesn't really matter, though.

I wasn't trying to discourage you. Just thought you might want to know. I'm just very picky about my own titles for my stories being something never used before whenever possible.

Bottom line is they didn't use it, and I think it is a great title, so you should be good.

If it doesn't work out, it doesn't work out.

It would be an exciting way to hone your craft. But anyone who hears of such a project wouldn't expect the highest quality movies once completed.

I got involved in something called The Extraordinary Film Project which actually proposed to make 12 movies in 12 months. I just checked the website for the first time in a while, and even though they didn't make the deadline its still impressive that they cranked out so much product:

Shoot in the rain if you can. It looks great on screen. I love it when people say who did your effects guy and I'm like "God." LOL. We did add a little rain to the last shot as the rain started to drizzle but the street were already wet so people don't catch it.
