Dancers in a garage

Hi Gunleik,

Yes, Norwegien.. You're based in Oslo?

Apart from the camera and adapter, I utilized a homebuilt stabilizer, jib and simple dolly.

Enjoyed your printshop photography.

Sonic..

how complicated was it to build the stabilizer? Im thinking about doing the same, I heard good and bad things on homemade ones, I'm always excited to see examples of ones in action.

These are some of my better stabilized images, due to some practice and better weight-ratio.. I've had it for a few years now, it's a very simple DIY based device, not a spring-based steadicam, so I can only carry it for a limited amount of time without wobble.

Looked good!
I really can´t tell the difference between adapter and pliun shots...
I guess at the beginning where the girl puts the CD in is M2?
Does this still hold up in full rez, or do the shots become more distinguishable then?

Yes, that first shot is the M2 and does a hard jump over to the plain HVX. In full res the shots are distinguishable for those who are familiar with the M2 characteristics. But I used an easy promist on the plain shots to match them better. Apart from that, the grain structure is of grave difference.

Sonic... Looks really nice.. good cutting. like the lighting effects and music and everything you did. The dancers are really mediocre though... I've shot a lot of dance companies in town and they just don't look or move like dancers... unless curves is sponsoring them...

Did you build or buy that strobe? Looked sweet.

Thanks.. Yes, these are not professional dancers, though they were the best or their group. I tried to encourage them to show as much energy as possible.
