I didn't think Cars 2 was bad. For Pixar standards it's subpar, but that's kind of like being the ugliest Victoria's Secret model.

The sad thing is, even though what he says makes sense, bad movies don't fail at the box office because they suck. They fail at the box office because the marketing suck.

If George Lucas had been the executive producer on any of the films he rants about there (like Conan 3D or Spy Kids 4D), they would have made a shitload of money because he understands marketing.
