Daddy Warblocks is a fictional short film about about loss and acceptance. It tells the story of an artist and philanthropist who gave up on life after his wife died. He never leaves his home, and has his food delivered to him. One night, instead of the usual delivery boy, a strange African man delivers a bag containing magic toy bricks. Once he finds out that the bricks can create life, he attempts to rebuild his family. The effort to reconstruct a fantasy from the past teaches him a valuable lesson about his present and future.
We're working with the #1 Lego artist in the world, Nathan Sawaya, who will be creating life-like statues of our actors. This is something we are very excited to do and it should be very fun to watch the process of these bricks turn into living things.
Make sure to check out www.daddywarblocks.com for more info as well as interviews with the creators and stay tuned here for more updates in the film. I'd love to talk about ways in which we can raise awareness, funds, and quality of our short. Thanks for watching, and we appreciate any comments or support!
