D90 v little Panasonic FX500

I'm not a big fan of the D90 watercolor look. But that Panasonic uses a heinous sharpness setting. It screams DV whereas the D90 looks pretty filmic to me.

Still, the Panasonic footage does look MUCH sharper.

stop the lens down on the d90 and use the same focal length. you'll get the same results if you used two different types of lens at different apertures on the same camera too. and it's not secret that the d90's bitrate is pretty weak.
