D90 untouched footage

thanks for the upload. Alot of it depends on the lenses used as well. Its hard to really sell the D90 movie mode with just the kit lens. If you dont have 3 good lenses to use its not worth the investment as a video device. Although, I have taken a vested interested in Stills now that I have bought the D90.

Eitherway, Im sure youll find this forums helpful in improving your video to pro quality!

Its really refreshing to see unedited footage, even footage not using the AE-Hold. It reminds me to relax a bit about the look, and just film the content. Thanks for sharing.

I forgot to add that I used a 50mm 1.8

And yes having a few lenses is good. I have the 18-135.

50mm makes it look really good. Kit lens is good for the wide because it reduces the jello effect from hand holding it. Anything about 70mm for me needs a tripod.

I agree, thats why most DOF adapter companies reccomend a 50mm lens....

I have a Tokina 11-16mm lens that makes the video smooth like butter with no jello whatever is in front of the camera is in focus

I've been to rock town, fun place. Although I would not consider my self a rock climber.

It's cool to see the D90 just be used for fun as well.

Nice....Rocktown is my backyard (well hour 1/2 drive from Atlanta). Spend many weekends there over the past 8 years.

Yeah one of the reasons I got a D90 is because its really easy to make behind the scenes videos during a shoot. I own some video cameras like the Canon XH-A1 for more serious stuff.
