Two Music videos:
D90
Nikkor 50mm - 1.4
Nikon 18-55mm - 1.8
We wanted to test the capabilities of the D90 for shooting fast/low-light videos. As you can see it doesn't perform particualy effectively under low light and with such a varying degree of contrast. There is also an issue with banding under fluorescent lighting.
Another issue was after a 45mins of shooting the camera got hot and the automatic video shutdown started to kick in.
These videos were shot very quickly during both bands practise sessions. They weren't scripted, storyboarded or thought out. Please bare in mind that there main purpose was to test how the D90 held up in testing conditions.
HONOUR THE FALLEN: http://vimeo.com/5096297
Shot in under an hour at a practise room in Northwich, Chershire.
KTUNK: http://vimeo.com/5075084
Testing D90 under low light conditions.
Sync out due to live performances vs. old recording.
Appreciate most of the elements brought up will have been discussed over and over on the forums but comments on videos welcome.
Thanks
Robin
