D90 Cheat Sheet

Hello D90 Users,

Thanks to everyone that has helped make this such an informative and helpful forum for D90 filmmakers. I'm a new D90 owner as of last week and have spend several days combing the posts on here. There is so much useful information:) I've also thrown together a single page D90 cheat sheet for myself so that I won't forget the basics. It includes some helpful tips and comments from other users (Kholi, mattsand, hepabst Car3o, and Zak) edited down to one page. I could post it if they wouldn't mind and if anyone thinks it might be useful. Cheers!

Also, for new D90 users be careful of the SD memory you use in the camera. I picked up a cheap 8GB Kingston SDHC class 6 card from Fry's Electronics and it caused all kinds of trouble with the camera. The camera was failing to save my movies files and doing other strange things. I thought I was doing something wrong but it was this faulty card all along. I'm sticking with the Sandisk Extreme III cards (30mbps edition)

i use the cheapest kingston and sandisk cards i can find and they work great (i've shot around 60 hours on them). i don't think it's about speed or "build quality", it's just that some cards always seem to cause problems in some equipment.

I'm on my second 16GB "class 6" SDHC card now. This brand is transcend.

My other (A-DATA brand) suddenly stopped working in my d90 after I dropped it!

There's no visible damage to the card, and it still works when I plug it into a computer, but for some reason no matter how much its formatted or messed with it always displays as "Error" on the d90.

Weird.

i have two "kingston sd4/8gb", one transcend and one sandisk, but i don't have the latter two here so i can't check. they were the cheapest around.
