D90 as HDMI player?

Hi,

this is just a theory, and I would like to know if anyone has tried the following:
output a final edit of a project and try to play it on the Nikon D90. Would it need to be output back to a codec that the Nikon D90 can play (for example MJPEG) if it is even possible?

That way you would be able to use the D90 as an HDMI playback deck.
If anyone has tried please post!

I could be wrong, but I think the HDMI is for output only. Or are you talking about simply putting exported MJPEG clips back onto an SD card for the camera to play back?

yes, that's what i mean. Edit a project, put back onto an SD card.
