Wouldn't that be cool if someone out there like the guys who made the mod for the DVX100 to shoot RAW files? I'm sure and hope someone is able to possible mod the D90 to shoot 1080p RAW or I be happy if it did Mjpeg. I'm sure they can bypass the D90's horrible compression and pasty look.

Is there anyone who is trying such thing? I would donate my camera for experiment. I think Nikon will probably not put out any firmware. Forget, I was going to invest in the 5D mark II since it was reported they had 24p firmware.

D90 HDMI out to like a portable HD. It would work.

I'm no expert but wouldn't this be more of a hardware issue rather than software?

It is hardware. I don't care about nikon's firmware. All I'm saying is that's the only thing they could do for the D90 if they wanted to. What I want is a total take your D90 apart and add a special whatever it needs to do what we want. I'm probably asking for too much.

I'm converting back to Canon soon.

The Andromeda made sense at the time because options hadn't opened up. These are progressing fast, and if you want that you can buy a proper camera with a lens adapter for less. And the cameras are small, so fitting the right brains in there would be a pretty big challenge- one that would probably be rendered obsolete by the time it's solved by a new camera.
