d90 100 frame limit question

I have been looking for an intervalometer for my d90 however people seem to be having issues with the 100 frame limit on the camera. Has anyone found a way around this? It seems people have had some success with the pclix LT model... Anyone own one and want to share their experience?

Thanks very much.

my way around it is pressing start again. works well for long intervals, for shorter it's obviously a pain to having to babysit the camera, plus you often get a slight jump in the motion.

I thought the 100 frame limit was a limit in the ebay battery grips with a timer, and not the camera.

Couldn't you use a proper timer remote like this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Nikos-N10-LCD-Timer-Remote-for-Nikon-D90-MC-36-MC-DC2_W0QQitemZ200322403060QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCamera_Cables_Cords?hash=item200322403060&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1205|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A1|293%3A1|294%3A50

And it would be no issue. Or the pclix. Because they dont have limits on the amount of frames they trigger.

it's definitely the timer, i missed the part where he said it was the camera. the camera doesn't care, you put it in single shot mode and the timer triggers it whenever it feels like it, indefinitely in theory but alas not with the timers i've used.

Thanks for that, I was worried the intervalometer would have to be used in multi shot mode and have the limit imposed on it. That nikos n10 is much cheaper than the pclix, I was really hoping to hear from someone who has managed to make it work so I could know for sure before I buy.

399 is the highest that you can set it at a pre determined amount of frames. other wise its unlimited. so you can set it to take 1-399 images or unlimited.

The eBay listing for that Aputure remote from LinkDelight says it has a 399 frame limit? Is that not the case?

I confirm there is no 399 limit. set : "--" means, no frame limit! It ends when card is full or U stop manual.
