D7000 optimal video settings

So i recently got a d7000 and had the pleasure of shooting some video with it over the weekend. This is the first dslr I shot video on (previously only shot on dvx). Wow, what a difference. I am curious what settings are typically used to get it in best quality both for grading in post and just straight as-is.

There's also another setting called Milk on YouTube:

Colors come out a bit more naturally with it, and it seems to be compatible with TassinFlat's LUT.

For as-is, it's really up to how you want the scene to look. For higher contrast scenes, you'd want to use flatter profiles like Standard, Portrait, or Neutral. For lower contrast, Landscape or Vivid might work. Don't forget that you can tweak all kinds of settings inside these presets, too.
