D7000 Night Footage W/Light

Having recently picked up a d7000 I am still trying to figure out how it handles different situations. A couple nights ago we were passing around my guitar and I pulled out my camera and shotgun mic to see how it picked up. I'm really pretty happy with how the camera performed. I used one 500 watt photoflood light bounced off the house. I believe the camera was at 400 iso and I used an old 50mm 1.8 lens stopped down to 2.8. At 1.8 it was noticeably softer.

Any input on image quality and advice or critiques is welcomed. I wasn't able to monitor the camera as I was holding a boom pole so he moves out of the framing a little bit, but I kind of like it anyway.

Nice warm look but don't be afraid to boost up lighting quite a bit. Add light and adjust exposure. That will give you more information to work with and much less noise. Then you can achieve a similar look in post with color correction with much less noise. These cameras have great low-light capability but they look so much better when you use light.
