Went to Maldives to get a break from all the cave and wreck diving and remember how fish actually looks like ;-) Thanks to awesome team from Euro Divers in LUX* resort! Of course took the camera with me. Enjoy!

Filmed on: Nikon D7000, Sigma 8-16, Ikelite housing and light. All above water stuff is D800 with 16-35/4.

Some comments:
Since I've been busy with the new D800 and continually impressed with its stills and video capabilities, it was easy too forget that good results cam be had even with "lesser" equipment. I sure was very pleased with what i got from D7k.

Timelapse video feature is a hidden blessing. I ignored it at first (why would i need lesser quality?), but it turned out to be of super convenience and allowed me to do 15 timelapses instead of say 3-5. Very convenient.

Nice work - you've captured some beautiful moments.

Re the timelapse, what do you mean when you say "why would I need lesser quality?"

Great images indeed. And a lot more fun to shoot than charts and DR tests!!

Yeah, sometimes i wonder if some people on these forums do just that ;-)))

Well, if you use build in intervalometer, you get video with resolution of still pictures, and if you want to spend some extra time, even raw. The timelapse movie function records in 1080/24 16:9 (or possibly whatever the movie settings are set to, haven't try it yet). So there is more stuff you could do with that, where as timelapse video function just gives you the end result in camera.

(it was an inside joke, latyshev has been shooting charts and DR tests for my Flaat picture controls since he got his D800; thanks latyshev)
