D5000 screen

have anyone a solution to properly manualy focus with the d5000 ?
the resolution of the screen is so small, u cant even use a loupe because u only see the 3 colors pixels but its even harder to focus with a loupe from what i experienced.
im really disappointed by this screen, except the fact that it can be orientable, thats a +, but the resolution is ridiculous.
how would u use a rig with the D5000 without a loupe ?
 
use a small LCD monitor. I used to use my HDMI monitor with the D90. It's bulky but I always had indoor shoots. They are making more smaller higher quality monitors for cheap. With out a loupe monitor would probably be only other alternative. Plus those things can get expensive but at least with a LCD you can watch your DVDs on it. Hope this helps if any.
 
oh man, i feel dumb now, didnt even realized there was a HDMI port on the D5000
i was so concentrate on my DIY loupe, useless on this monitor :(

i wonder what resolution comes from that hdmi port, any idea ?
if its any better than the nikon screen, i'll get one of those monitors
