D3s rumours. Time to recross our fingers.

That would be good but that would be out of my price range. They had a rumor about the 700x coming out next month

isn't the D3 $5,000? For this thing to sell to video types, it needs to be far and away better than the 5D to justify the price difference.

That's what I'm waiting for. They really need to release info SOON, though, as the 7D is going to get my business if I don't hear something from Nikon by the time it's [7D] shipping.

I told myself I'd never buy another Canon... but they're really stepping up to the plate, and I may have to give in.:zombie_smiley:

Dude... what HASN'T canon done for us lately??

Well, it is expenisive, but as it is today the D3 and D3x are the best DSLRs on the market. If the D3s is an updated version of the D3, with good video capabilities it sure will be an AWESOME camera, and I'm getting one. Then again I'm in the market for a new stillscamera anyway.

About the D700x, those rumors are less likely real. Anyway, if it goes the way it did last time. The 700 version will come out AFTER the new D3.

well I guess that was my point. If you're a stills guy too then getting the best stills camera that happens to do very good video is great but if you're strictly a video guy who might also use the stills for family stuff and vacations then the $5,000 is a bit harder to swallow IF the video isn't much improved over the 5D/7D.

It's all wild speculation at this point anyway.

Sure it is. And that's what we like it, isn't it? Soon there is the "duh, this camera is vaporware"-comments, then come the "the story is what counts, the camera is just a tool, go shoot something instead"-comments. And then comes the "OMG! I'm so disapointed with Nikon, I'm switching to Canon asap"-comments. And so it goes... I like it!

I know, I know...

With all the issue's I've had in the past, Canon lost my business.

As of late, they really do seem to be listening and giving us what we want. I'm stubborn, but they're doing a hell of a job trying to win me back:Drogar-Love(DBG):

I've had a N90s , N8008s, D70s. Seem like another one too, but they were all good cameras.

true, but they werent much different from the

N90, N8008 & d70

I think the very best they will offer is what the 5d has now.

But just for fun Im going to hope for RAW video.

I think Nikon has to come with a totally new body to get the video features we want.
Not s or x model. But they could get a nice 1080p feature in s and x's.

Look at Canons 7D which is a new segment model with video. This is the way for Nikon to go both DX and FF. Nikon VD1 anyone?
