D300s price cut

I have already ruled out the 7D. To much Nikon stuff already. Maybe the 8D!!

It will be the D300s or sell all my stuff and get the D3s
 
Heck, if what you have works well enough for your purposes at the moment, then I would say to wait for the D700x or equiv this November/December. Cheaper than a D3s; probably with a better video mode. Lighter too haha.
 
I have even seen the a D800 rumor. Probably in the $3000 to $3500 range? Who knows, plus it would be next year I bet before it would hit the street. I want to upgrade for the photography side and I'm not holding my breath for a better video mode.
But it might be worth the wait.

B&H dropped the in cart price by $100.00

I looked at the D300s at Robert's Camera last weekend. From the photography side it is a great camera. Still the problem with no video controls but it seems to handle things pretty well in all auto. I thought it felt more solid than the 7D.
