Here is a r & B music video that I directed and edited for an unsigned / WhitePaper Ent. artist; Cydara Elise is a hot new songstress out of Detroit Michigan. This was shot with a DVX edited in Premiere, Effects and Color Grading in After Effects Using a combination of Magic Bullet Looks, Levels, Curves. Hue/Saturation. Any feedback is Positive feedback, let me know how you like the music video as well as the song.

Looks REALLY good! great job on the edit and colour grading also. the lighting is on point and the dvx shines in this!

The girl is damn sexy!

The song....meh...as a club banger its cool. But personally i'm a long way over songs about money, cars, flossin' and all that. I'm about songs that talk some sense...BUT thats just me persoanlly and where i'm at. As i said...as a club tune its good.

I'm gonna pm you about some stuff about after effects and premiere a bit later if u dont mind.

Nicely done, I like the contrast of the bright studio stuff against the white cyc with the dark fire scenes. Well edited, too.
 
Quick critique:

Cut out the entire intro scene. First, it looks bad, the crane shot was all over the place, and the "acting" was not up to par. At :37 we can hear Kanye in the background which is a BIG no no. And the audio is really awful, as I'm assuming you just used the stock DVX mic.

It really brings down the production value of the entire video. I was watching it thinking, "what the f#$k is this, and why are people giving positive feedback". AND THEN the actual video came on and it's MUCH better than the initial scene.
 
I really enjoyed this video and I'm glad that you posted the making of the video up also. I actually liked the beginning of the video with the car pulling up. You did an amazing job overall.

Seems like your going overboard..... Please post some of your work so I can see your professional footage.

Also to the OP the song+ video were great, good job man it's on point.

Thanks for the compliment bro, also appreciate the feedback on the song as well, what you gonna do about club songs, they sell lol. Yeah no prob all pms are welcome as well as criticism good and bad. Actually I prefer bad over good because that's how you become better @ your craft

Thanks ryan, I actually like this feedback the best because it is helpful. LOOOOOOONG Story but I totally agree with every thing you said. As the director and C.E.O. of the label, I wanted the entire intro out, because again, the crane shot wasnt the best because it was actually my first time using that crane, and while its easy as hell to use (kessler crane rocks) as you know you have to practice the shots, because we were over time, and that was a 110,000 jaguar we had to get the shot, also because it was a jaguar we got in the video for free, had to keep the shot in to keep that connect, business is business, professional people see the novice crane shot, fans (its way more than them then us) think the shot is amazing, so understand ryan it was a business decision. We had s superbowl release party to premiere the video, I argued with the other label heads to let me take out the intro up until 1 am in the morning the saturday night before the video was due, other than the fact it doesnt make sense and is unneccessary the crane work wasnt the best as well as the mic and the kanye song in the back, then the next shot the audio is bad, so i know. And in the video I took the crane shot from the beginning and I chopped it up to the beat so it looks more fluid, so I know ryan. Again, thanx for your opinion Im glad someone agrees with me, but i was over ruled by the fans and label heads. Thanks again for the feedback and compliment.
 
Also again thanks every one for your great comments I truly appreciate any and all feedback Good and bad, As well all should if we want to become better at our craft
