CX350 scene file settings

I'm working with 6 of these cameras on an event project soon and wondering if anyone has some good non log scene file settings that aren't the ones Panasonic provide on their site that I can use. Thanks for any help.

Hello Chris,

I am still working on my settings with this camera. I will share what I have come across. I find the camera to be very prone to hot highlights. For gamma I have focused on Filmlike 3 and the HD gamma. Filmlike 3 really does the best job at protecting highlights but at the expense of the mids on down which then need a solid lift. The HD gamma is the most broad, good looking video image if you use an aggressive knee and even the white clip setting.

I like an "open" image or not crushed black so I have the pedestal up in the 40s along with the black gamma elevated a bit. The color is very accurate with tweaking but the blues/purples have been tricky for me to dial in. Knee is more effective than DRS. The camera is hella sharp so detail is at -13 and depending upon your use, you might want it lower. Noise performance is very good. I have my maximum acceptable gain at 18dB which gives you a fair amount of wiggle room with the slow-ish lens.

Let me know if you have any other questions if you are in a time crunch setting them up. I would read Barry's book if you can as it goes into great depth.
