Cutting DVCPRO-HD animation with XDCAM footage

I'm animating a title from scratch to be cut with XDCAM footage shot on the EX1. I'm using AE CS3, so it doesn't have XDCAM. If I work with DVCPRO-HD and export my title, will it be able to cut with the XDCAM footage fine? If not, what codec is recommended for cutting with XDCAM footage?

Use Adobe premiere CS4. Import your footage.
Make a new time-line with DVCPRO-HD specs
Put the footage on the time-line and render.
