I"m just setting up my custom buttons, I was trying to get a feel for what people were setting their User 1,2 and 3 buttons to?

Personally I put:
Button 1: Color Bars, because it's good practice to always put 30 seconds of color bars at the beginning of each tape
Button 2: Slow Shutter Speed, cause it's a neat effect I like to use from time to time
Button 3: Display Info, because none of the other functions I feel are functions that are really useful and sometimes it's convenient just to look up all your settings with the touch of a button.
and in addition, although I never use it, but I put it there in case I have to give the camera over to a newbie who doesn't know anything, I put ATW in the PRESET white balance setting (the ability to change this is in a different menu) just because at least ATW would be useful to a newbie whereas indoor/outdoor WB is something I never use (I always do manual) and something a newbie probably wouldn't even know how to use.

I like to assign backlight to USER button 3 because I use this function quite a lot in low-lit areas like ballrooms. Why USER button 3? Because it's position is closest to my thumb.
