Customized film lens

No I don't. But going to their website, I notice there is no "About Us" link. Makes me suspect they haven't been in business that long, and that doing business with them might not be smooth sailing. Also, it looks like you'd have to ship the lens back to China if it needed repair.

The lower price is tempting, and they say the optics are brand new Zeiss. Things might work out fine. Are you willing to take a gamble?:undecided

P.S. -- I wonder if Zeiss would verify that they are shipping lens elements to this company.

As Mitch has pointed out, these are just skirts that fit on the lens and held in place by set screws, to make them look like the CP.2 lenses.

I know all the hardcore purists are going to jump down my throat about this, but I think they are pretty cool.
I think it's a very cool concept. Its a zeiss lens with a video housing, thats what everyone is asking for isn't it.
Everyone is waiting for a video version of the Rokinon lenses, whats different about these?
If they didn't paint them to look like the cp2's I think they would get more respect.
But hey, if they throw a 17-40L in there, Im on it.

I'm not sure why you'd spend about $1000 more on a (probably poorly executed) Chicom mod of a possibly counterfeit or reject Zeiss vs. $250 over the base Zeiss lens cost for a proven quality Duclos cinemod.
