Good recipe? I'm not sure. But mine is:

C1 - 1080p
C2 - 720p
C3 - Still "P" mode (I find this better than shooting in "A" because I can adjust it so quickly.)

Regards,

Dan.

BTW,

How do you "set" these parameters for the C1,C2,C3 settings on the dial? Do you turn to that first and then adjust the settings on the camera to your taste? How does it remember them? Sorry for the inane question, but I'm away from my manual....

Thanks!

Go into any mode setting dial you want the custom setting to use as a base plate, this can be manual movie mode, M, S, A and P modes or even any of the "easy" modes. Edit what ever settings you want to be on the custom option, ie 720p, 1080p24, ISO, aperture, shutter settings, function key settings. Then go into the menu then save it to the custom profile you want. You can got back to the mode which you used as a base plate and change whatever settings you want to but the custom profile will be frozen to those settings that you told it to hold.

I have one of my profiles set to continous af 720p mode and auto ISO as it handy for chasing kids, catching the moment

Actually talking about ISO during movies, how come you can't change them on the fly while recording?

Thanks for the explanation... will give it a shot this afternoon. I'd imagine it should also remember the picture style as well? A very handy feature...
