Custom Made Camera?.....

How much do you think it would cost me if I went to Panasonic asking for a customized HPX3000?

I'm thinking a camera exactly the same as the 3000 but with:

Variable Frame Rates 1-120
4:4:4 Recording (on board; AVCIntra 200 or something.)
and preferably 2k but if I had to stick 1080P, that's already great.

You think they'd even consider doing a custom job? I'd probably get 15-20 of them.....

Go ahead and ask. It never hurts.

I personally don't think they would, but you could hire a guy like Juan who used to do the real-stream HVX/dvx work called Andromeda and Hydra. He's since moved on to better things, but I am sure there is someone out there like him and could do the same with the HPX. A really really talented tech guy *might* be able to hack into the CCD's and pull a non compressed signal out. Who knows. It seems like either way it's gonna cost lots of money for RnD.

And just curious, you wouldn't happen to be a multi billionaire business man looking to develop the next big camera... would you? Because I see a great name for this camera, we'll call it "Blue" Camera.

lol..... well there goes the name of my company..... damn; was trying to keep it a secret, but the customized HPX3000 wouldn't even be close to what I have in mind for my "Blue" camera. But I don't have tons of money.... so I'm working on doing a feature to turn that around into R&D for my camera project.

I haven't even seen footage from a HPX3000 yet, so would anybody have any? I might not need the 4:4:4.... just the lack of variable framerates worries me.
