Custom Backdrop Printing?

I am in need of several different backdrops, fabric perhaps, that are custom printed with images that I can send them. Specifically I am shooting some space related material and I need different backgrounds of stars, planets, etc. The plan would be to stretch the fabric on stands and shoot against it. Any ideas on where I can get something like this?

Translight is the best option, but very expensive. They can make it semi-translucent for rear lit effects, too.

In the future, however, I suspect high contrast and resolution projectors will replace these. Much less expensive considering the projector can play animated backgrounds and be changed at will.

WE have signwriters print these scenics as murals. Some signwriters have capability of printing massive dimensions. (billboard size).

BG scenics need to be large.

Depending on your schedule and budget, you could hire a scenic painter to paint the background for you. Some might scoff at hand painting a background in this day and age, but I've personally painted a number of photo-realistic drops in my day. I come from Theatre where that is still a fairly common practice. Most scene shops will have contact info for good scenic painters.
 
Every major city should have a place that specializes in trade show graphics. I've had photos & graphics printed on fabric as large as 8' x 20'. Last time I press-checked it, they used basically huge sheets of iron-on inkjet material and big roller heat presses. Not sure how it's done these days. they can print on about any fabric you want. Not cheap, but waaay cheaper than translight, etc.
