I remember when I was growing up back when dinosaurs roamed the earth "The, Priest, The Rabbi and the Minister" jokes were common and no outrage was express. People get offended by "God Damn." Just listen to a tape of a guy called Cooper who made a movie in '33 called Kong, he managed to get GD in almost every sentance and he was a 2 star general.

Movies that offend nobody would be a little boring in todays hyper sensative times.
 
I don't think you could find a movie that didn't offend someone. People are actively looking for something to piss them off these days.
 
Come on, man... This is ridiculous. Yeah, what Horsey said, everyone's always looking for some sorta trouble to stir up.
 
Wtf? If a movie manages to offend you, there is something very wrong about you.

God damn, people these days seem to be inventing all sorts of problems for their own butts...
 
MTV once prefaced episodes of Monty Python's Flying Circus with a warning/disclaimer: "Monty Python is guaranteed to offend the easily offended, so if you're one of those people, DON'T WATCH."

I always liked that approach.
 
Or you could go with a conspiracy theory that the studios are behind the dissent about competitors films.

I agree one million percent if you don't like it don't go. The alternative is we don't have freedom of speech which is scary as hell.

I completely agree. It just stuns me how so many people will just write a movie off just because it has subtitles.

But can you blame the makers of "Geisha"? I mean, if they were to film it in any other language than engrish, it would be probably be box office suicide.

I'll see it anyways, but my arms will be crossed the entire time!

I took offense at non of this nor did I make it up all the points I raised were ripped from the headlines of mainstream news sources.
