Curious question - Would anyone like free DP credit?

Hey guys,

A curious question here, but would anyone be interested in DoP credit free of charge? In November and December I might be doing a couple of shorts (High School videos, etc). However the problem is that I'm not very experienced at lighting, but I would like to make something with a pretty high level of production value - and that would entail a rental of a light kit.

However, it'll be rather useless methinks if I don't know how to use the light kit. So I was wondering if there would be any takers if i scout out the location, and make out detailed notes, storyboards and pictures of the areas used for shooting to the best of my ability, and hopefully anyone with just over 5 minutes of free time could comment on a lighting setup for the scene? I'll post that stuff online and everything can be conducted over email - you'll just need to give me a few directions as to how to get started with each scene, and i'll try to figure out the rest from there.

So basically you could be an armchair DoP - of course its pretty tough to predict but I'm sure any of you are waay more experienced than I am, and could probably give at least a basic idea on lighting the scenes. I have a very sketchy knowledge of basic of basic lighting, including 3 point lighting, etc, however I've never done anything of the sort, and definitely have no confidence whatsoever. I'll make out copies and give full credit to anyone who'll want to offer their help! (Not that anyone would be particularly interested, but think of it as a big thank you and an uncompressed version of the finished project as opposed to the compressed ones you normally see in the cafe).

I'll really really appreciate anyone who will want to help out!

If it matters, I have a DVX102b, and when i finally make it to shooting, the kit that's in my budget would be a couple of arri fresnals (650 or 300W) - they go for 25 Singapore dollars each, so i can get either for the same price. A redhead, and probably a softbox and a reflector.

Once again thanks alot for anyone who'll help out!
