Curb your Enthusiasm look

Hey, I'm writing a couple of comedy shorts and I have a decent look going on for it. But before I started writing it I visioned it looking like "Curb Your Enthusiasm". Any ideas on a setting for the DVX100b that may "help" achieve this look? I'm also guessing 24pa would be appropriate?

actually I would think quite the opposite, Curb is shot with a documentary/reality show look and is shot at 60i. Their look is pretty basic, a very crisp video look but also very steady. I'd mess around with 60i and maybe even 30p a bit and turn your detail level up a few notches. Keep the camera steady, they use steadicams for movement shots and tripods the rest of the time. Try to avoid simpe handhelds. hope this helps

I have to disagree and say that Curb does indeed have a "film" look to it over traditional 60i news look.
If you watch the credits closely you will see there is a Film Look company listed so obviously they have their original 60i footage processed in some way.

Hey NashvilleActors im in the Nashville area whats going on?

i suppose its shot in progressive but in more natural lighting to give it a more realistic feel

yeah i think they use a lot of natural lighting and def shot docu/reality style

I had always thought they shot on SDX900 or similar

either way one of my all time fav shows :)
