FS7: Ctalyst Browse - taking forever to load a clip on a MacBook Pro

Hi everyone,
I'm using Catalyst Browse to do a quick revision of clips, but it takes forever to load any slightly longer clip (those few seconds shots are loaded almost instantly). Then sometimes it crashes... It's basically not reliable at all. Is there any reason for that? Do you use something else instead?

I've had no problems - what do you mean by a long clip? I've loaded interviews at least 20 min , probably longer, and transcoded to ProRes. Slow to go to HQ but not so bad for plain old 422.

What are your computer specs? I'm on a 2013 macbookPro that's loaded.

I'm having the same problem.
I'm not an editor but I do like to review my material before I hand it off. I was told Catalyst Browser would allow that as well as applying a LUT to get an idea of what the finished clip will look like.
Catalyst either takes forever to load a clip and when it does, it plays it Herky jerky.
Im guessing it's my old as Mac top as it only has 8 GBS of RAM. However the footage plays fine via both Content Brower so that's what I use.
Haven't checked but now I'm wondering if my Mac is under powered, if it will play basic MPEG 4:2:2 50 better and faster than XVAC.
