CS5 Mac Export Intermediate Codec

I am trying to export some clips from Premiere for use elsewhere. I want to export lossless, in this case 1080p/60. My sequence is XDCAM 1920x1080 and I made a custom preset for 59.94fps which is all well and good.

But when I export, I would like to use something lossless like Animation, or Prores 444 or something, and Premiere doesnt have any of those options.. I tried doing a DPX sequence, but even when setting the framerate to 59.94 it seems to be exporting at 24fps. All the other export codecs are lossy I believe.

Any good ideas? Besides sending as a comp to AE and exporting from there?

Can you select Quicktime and then pick a codec from that? That's how I do it on Premiere on the PC (thought you have to have Final Cut Pro installed to see the ProRes option).

You can use "Animation" but that's uncompressed, so unless you're prepared to deal with that, I'd look for other options.

No, under quicktime I just have DV codecs. No Prores, no Animation. None of that. (And I have FCS installed too)

Yea I'm familiar with DNxHD but I already have Prores and Quicktime animation and lots of other codecs. They are available in AE, and in FCP and everywhere else, but Premiere does not have them. I just don't get why Premiere does not give access to all the installed codecs?

Prores isn't lossless. You should be able to select Animation from the Quicktime drop-down in Premiere, though - and that is lossless so it's your best option if you really want lossless.

It does. Premiere has access to prores if you have it installed. I'm really not sure why you can't access it.

I have both FCP and Premier 5 installed and premier has access to apples ProRez codecs on my machine.

dar. I'm a retard.

It doesnt have any presets for any of the other codecs besides DV, but they are there. The are in the video codec tab, exactly where you would expect them to be.
