I recently pruchased a DVX100p camera used within the last month. I have been shooting a lot of things mostly indoors. I was shooting outside this very hot weekend for hours. I was turning on and off my camera capturing lots of footage, collecting stories from people, etc. All of a sudden my screen had a redish pinky colour to it. It went back and forth from my desired screen settings to this redish pinky picture until finally giving my picture a redish pinky look. White was now looking redish pinky and it shows up in Post production. I only hope you have seen this problem before. I appreciate your advice.

Thanks everyone

It sounds like it might be a white balance or color temperature issue. Did you go from outdoors to indoors or back?

I was shooting outside all day. I was sooting in the shade, sun just just adjusting the nd filter and iris when needed. On my second day of shooting I was filming an interview for 12 minutes straight and all of a sudden the screen went from my normal setting to redish pink again. This colour problem just seems to appear and disappear for short periods and then long periods on time. I tried white balancing by holding the AWB button down while pointing at a well lite white area. The colour temp just doesn't get rid of the problem when this redish pink takes over my screen. This is killing me. HELP!!!!

Sounds like auto tracking white balance function.
Menu/Auto SW/ATW--(OFF).
White balance when inside AND when outside.
Also wb for shade and again for direct sunlight. If you cross from shade to sunlight or vice versa you can see a shift between orange and blue. You will also see pink in sunlight when using ATW and there is some light cloud cover passing by.
Keep in mind that color temp of sunlight changes. Use a white card and get in the habit of white balancing often.

thank you for your advice! I tried many all of the advice given from everyone, but it seems there is a problem with the camera so I brought it in to my local service centre. I really thought your advice on white balancing was quite good. Thank-you.
