CS4 Problem

Hey gang.

I cant seem to export anything out of premiere. I get as far as media encoder, I hit start and after about 7.5 minutes it says it cant read from the source file. Something else that is weird is that I cant get Premiere to be the program that automaticly opens .pproj files. I can get any other CS4 program in the list in the (Open With dialog) but not Premiere. Any idea wtfers is going on?

AMD Athalon 64 X2 +5200
3GB DDR2 RAM
Windows XP Pro

Cant figure this out, its starting to get really annoying.

Ohh, this might help too. Media encoder freezes when I try to open a sequence from premiere. I can get as far as the directory with the projecet but if I try to select a project it freezes.
 
What kind of footage is in your project?

With opening PP sequences -- there is a lag as it determines which Sequences are available; if there are a lot, and/or a lot of footage, it can take a few moments.
 
Its AVI and AE comps thru dynamic link. I tried the Encoder import thing again and it said there was a Dynamic Link Error.
 
Actually I uninstalled everything CS3 and its all good now except for some temp folder access problem I have with my computer, non Premiere related.
 
Looks like the old wait for CS4.0.01.1 or CS4.0.02.1 a week later and etc etc.

Bugs galore on these programs and they all seem to be fixed near the end of the lifetime of the product just in time to tempt you with the next version and so the process starts all over again.
