CS4 - 4.2 update

Thanks

Thanks

I'm glad it's soon. I like Premiere, with the use of Cineform, but I wish it was as solid and reliable as Photoshop!

I've got 2 projects still on the go, one is all HD, the other DV, and when they are done, I'm finished with Premiere. For every neat & interesting feature it has, there are 2 that are crippling and make using Premiere a nightmare. 2.0 and DV projects all worked pretty good, but CS4 and AVCCAM is a joke.

There's a real imbalance between the acquisition formats and editing platforms. If Adobe knows that AVCHD is a bit of a problem, why don't they address this with an Adobe solution ? Call it Adobe Proxy.

In any case, my editing system is a Phenom2 4x @ 3.0ghz, 8 GB of DDR-800 ram, 4.5 TB storage, and I can't wait to put an Apple sticker on the front.

Dave Helmly, Adobe's product manager, said the other day on another forum...

"I’m putting the final touches on the Premiere 4.2 and Adobe Media Encoder 4.2 video and you’ll see the updater posted in a few weeks. You can look forward to AVC-Intra Editing, HD>SD scaling fixes in Media Encoder and bug fixes and more."
