CS len mounts question.

Hi, is it possible to mount a CS lens on a standard C mount to M4/3 adapter?

As I understand it the CS lens should be 18mm from the sensor and the C lens is only 12.5mm away from the sensor. Is there a 5mm adapter or a specific CS mount adapter for the M4/3 system?

I have noticed more CS mount lens than C mounts for some reason.

backfocal distance of CS-mount lenses are shorter than C-mount.

extension rings persist.
CS-mount to m43 not exist. Can mount on C-mount to m4/3, but no focus to infinity will be available.
CS-mount are mainly surveilance lenses, Most of them are with electronics attached and closed diaphragm by default.

There is a local CNC machine shop close to my work. Would it be worth my time to make a batch of say 100 CS mounts for the M4/3?

CS mounts require a closer distance to the sensor than regular C mounts.

Not all C mounts are FULLY mountable on a C mount adapter. Some are able to screw all the way in and focus to infinity.
Those C mounts that do not screw all the way in because they have a fat ass are not able to focus to infinity because it is too far from the sensor.
C mounts are probably the closest to sensor lens adaptable to m43

It would be much better if your CNC shop can make/design a batch of C mount adapters which will mount on most all C lenses.
